Let me share my story with you of how I picked up the camera and why I love doing what I do. In 2008, after the financial crash, I was one of many left without a job. I took most of 2008 off, lived off my saving and pondered my life. Would I join another finance company or live on the beach teaching English in South East Asia? After a solid year of traveling, visiting New York and LA, going to bars, restaurants, friend's houses...etc, it hit me...I wanted to create imagery! I was witness to the beauty of men and women on the streets of San Francisco and desired to capture them in the way I saw them. So, after consulting my professional photographer friends, I bought a DSLR camera, took a lot of classes and started a street-style fashion blog at the end of 2009. I felt very confident in seeking out the best of what San Francisco had to offer because I was already surrounded by the world of fashion.  I had a men's styling company while I was in the finance business and did a bit of modeling in my more beautiful days.  

 

Over the years the blog grew into a powerhouse of original content with over a dozen people contributing to it on a weekly basis. My vision of street style and how to portray normal day to day people in creative works of art through imagery plays a profound impact on my work today. I've fallen in love with photography and the whimsical place it takes me every time I pick up my camera.
